With the Pivot tables feature, we allow you to slice and dice the study data in any way you want. This is an advanced feature meant for deep-dives and interrogations into the data collected in a study.

The Pivot tables feature is only available in studies started since February 2025.

When browsing the Explore page for a study, you will find Pivot (Beta) buttons next to measured data dimensions. Clicking these buttons take you to the Pivot table view.
Pivot tables have the following controls. Some of these may not be available in your study, depending on the type of study - see Measuring Reach vs Engagement.
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
Column Layout |
Defines the type of column layout. There are three options, some of which are only available : |
Column Dimension | When Column Layout is either “Reach pivot” or “Engagement pivot”, you have the option to also select a Column dimension.
A column dimension adds dimension values as columns, making the table wider. |
| Row Dimensions | Row dimensions add dimension values as rows, making the table taller. |
| Filters | Filters allow you to exclude certain data points. A common filter is to remove n/a values for audience dimensions.
Filters are added by clicking the + (include only this value) and - (exclude this value) buttons in the pivot table: |

Imagine for example that you wish to investigate the relationship between Home type and Home ownership on this screen:

Exploring Home type and Home ownership
Clicking on either of the buttons will take you to the Pivot table view. The view will have been pre-populated with the dimension that was clicked. The other dimension will have to be added in the controls at the top of the screen:

The resulting data view below will now look like this, allowing you to clearly see the relationship between the two selected dimensions:
